The Night CafeI first chanced upon The Night Cafe when they were supporting The Hunna in Liverpool a few years back but then, out of chance, I luckily bumped into them again last week when they were supporting The Wombats on their UK tour. Like The Wombats trio they're from Liverpool but have an extra fourth member to round off the up and coming four-piece. They provide a relaxing but robust sound that has an extra spark of energy that their youth brings for them. Having said that, on stage they give off a casual, laid-back persona, a stage presence which compliments their music perfectly. They really remind you of what live music is all about. A mash up of Blossoms, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Sundara Karma (another one to add to the list of bands they have already supported) is probably the best way I can sum them up in one sentence. Confidence is not an issue for The Night Cafe, they have a similarity to the bands already mentioned but with a deeper, more electronic and synthesised approach. Their first single was released in 2015, followed by their EP 'Get Away from the Feeling' in 2017 but we are still expectantly awaiting the release of their debut studio album. Their most memorable tunes to date being 'Mixed Signals' and 'The Way of Mary' which are lively and upbeat which instantly got the crowd moving and singing. The tracks are instant sing-along hits, memorable from the moment you hear them. There certainly aren't any mixed signals when it comes to their music, they are producing some really good stuff and are a real crowd pleasing live act. Energetic guitar riffs and their obvious passion only add the the exciting synthesised sound, they have musical talent in abundance. Even their slower, more subdued song 'Addicted' catches your attention and does exactly what it promises. The Night Cafe look set for a great future as we longingly await for the release of an album! This vibrant band continue to grow and improve, their catchy and punchy indie-anthems have already gained them a great fan-base. Once you get a glimpse into this bands music it'll leave you with an appetite for much, much more. The Night Cafe are a brilliant indie-band you don't want to miss out on! So you should definitely take a few minutes to have a quick listen to a few of their tracks.
