The Tin Pigeons - Soothing, charming and charismaticI discovered this band back in 2016 at Leeds Festival, and what a band I managed to stumble across. The four-piece from Leicestershire are a unique indie band with hints of folk shining through. The music they make is so easy to listen to; relaxing yet still catches your attention with their funky sound. My favourite single is the calming "Steel", the warm vocals and soothing harmonies leave you mesmerised. Lead singer Fraser's gentle vocals are executed perfectly, his exquisite voice sparking memories of Passenger. The folk lyricism, the witty lyrics and the play-on-words like "Whether in peace time or war time. Pieces on the wall" only add to this. Most of their tracks have a similar gentle feel, as in "Sirens" with a laid-back, harmonious feel and the folk influences becoming more obvious! "What Would You Say" is a song written for you to sing-along to, the chorus' lyrics just egging you to sing along, it has a stronger beat and a catchier, indie-pop feel. It is sure to get you dancing. A lively and chirpy summer tune. The Tin Pigeons are a great live act and have established themselves as quite the festival act having preformed at Leeds, Y-not and Boardmasters to name just a few! BBC Introducing have said that they are "One of the best festival bands we know!" and it won't take you long to work out why. Their latest single "Home" is yet another song to add to their brilliant collection of irresistible tunes. Their songs are intoxicating and their blend of indie-rock, folk and hints of pop work flawlessly. The Tin Pigeons are one of those endearing bands you want to keep to yourself as your own little secret but they're simply just too good not to share their music with the world. Having already achieved great success, their tracks being played on Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music, and with new singles on the way in the coming months only good things are destined for The Tin Pigeons. So, what are you waiting for? Give them a listen now!
